They don’t exactly rescue the horses so much as let them loose to cause chaos and distract the authorities. A small herd of 12-foot-tall animals that cause the ground to rumble for a few city blocks is better for that purpose than two or three defenseless children. Unless it were on Mandalore, in which case that’d be enough to overthrow the government, but we aren’t on Mandalore.
